All adoptive families are required to have a valid Home Study in order to be eligible to adopt Domestically or Internationally. A "Home Study" is a process where prospective adoptive parents are evaluated by a licensed Social Worker or Adoption Agency to determine their suitability to adopt. During the home study process the prospective family is also educated about adoption and the issues that can arise.

During the home study evaluation process lots of information will be required about every aspect of your life. Check with your social work provider regarding their specific state required paperwork. Normally you will have to provide or produce the following:

Written autobiographies (usually in question & answer format)
Letters of reference from friends, family members & employers
Birth certificates
Marriage certificates
Medical exams with lab work
Financial & net worth information
Residence information
Home visits (minimum of 3 required for Georgia)
Abuse registry, local & state criminal background checks

Adoption Blessings Worldwide is licensed to conduct Domestic and International Home Studies and Post Placements in Georgia (USA). If you are contracting with our agency for your adoption you are not required to use our agency for your social work needs; however our staff is caring & experienced, our prices reasonable, and we are able to respond to your timeframe needs.

Post-placements are the required supervisory visits & reports conducted after the child is placed with the family. These reports are required before an adoption can be legally finalized in court for all Domestic adoptions and International adoptions that are not finalized in the country or the finalization is not recognized in your state of residence. Many countries and agencies also require families to have scheduled post placement visits to assure the placement is stable and to allow for counseling to be provided to assist the family with the placement.

Adoption Blessings Worldwide requires all families that contract with our agency to adopt a child to have at least the minimum number of post placement visits required by the country they are adopting from as well as what their state law requires.

Domestic Post Placement $200.00/report plus mileage (.325/mile)
International Post Placements $200.00/report plus mileage (.325/mile)
