RUSSIA
Russian referrals are made soon after paperwork is
submitted. Children of all ages are available, both
healthy and special needs. Travel is shortly after
referral and completion of dossier. Two trips are
required. Please contact us for further information.

Russia.
We will be happy to refer you to some of our
already-returned families who are open to sharing their experiences
regarding Russian adoption with prospective adoptive parents. One
of the families has written about their experience with ABW and shared
photos on the references page of our
website. ABW is not accredited through the Russian Federation. Our
agency will asst you with your dossier, immigration processing,
homestudy, education, assist with travel arrangements and post adoption
requirements. Families will work with a Russian accredited agency* for
their in country Russian adoption process.
Referrals of special needs children (older or with
medical and/or developmental concerns) may be available
on a case-by-case basis. Please check with ABW to see
regarding the availability of older children who have
already been made legally available for international
adoption.

Parent Requirements:
- The youngest parents cannot be more than 45
years older than the child they adopt (there is some
flexibility).
- Single Women and Married Couples may adopt.
- No limit on the number of children that you
currently have.
- Parents with divorce history may adopt.
Available Children:
Children available are
12 months to 12 years old. Mostly
Caucasian, some Gypsy & Asian w/ varying eye & hair
color, fair to medium skin tone. Children reside in
orphanages Sibling groups are common (usually age 3 &
up) Adoption of two unrelated children allowed.
Referral & Travel Time:
- Time before blind travel is 3-4 months. Two trips are required
(first trip is approximately 2-3 days; second trip
is approximately 8-10 weeks after first trip and is
approximately 6-14 days depending on the region).
- Both parents are required to travel.
